Just some thoughts from a couple weeks ago in regards to patience, changing seasons, inconsistent weather patterns and personal growth.

Remember, be patient.
You may be eager to bloom, but rest still absorbing nutrients from the soil.

You give the flower the strength to bloom.

I too feel ready for Spring.
But am I really?
I can’t force a plant to grow, I can’t force a bud to bloom.
I must wait in patience.
The weather can teach us of contentment but we must first learn to allow it
Acceptance of the weather inconsistencies.
Just like us when we are trying to grow
and we are inconsistent in our thoughts, words and behaviours.
What matters is we acknowledge this and continue to push forward to that Spring, that spiritual awakening

We bloom, drop our seeds and petals nourishing the soil we are rooted in
So we become tired and weary
We must find rest during this time
We can’t expect to always be in bloom
Sometimes we are just the seed waiting for spring
If we bloom at the wrong time – we won’t be ready for the trials we immediately face so we must wait.

Ezekial 47:1-12
The water flowing from the temple creates a river of life – awakening the stagnant waters providing nourishment to every creature and every plant.
“On the banks, on both sides of the river, there will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither nor will their fruit fail, they will bear fresh fruit every month, because the water for them flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit wil be for food, their leaves for healing.” (v. 12)

Jeremiah 17: 7-8
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
whose trust is the Lord.
He is like a tree planted by water,
that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
for its leaves remain green,
and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

Funny how this contradicts part of what I just wrote myself. I’d say the prophets are much wiser than I. Perhaps we do stay in bloom – if we continue consuming nutrients from that river of life.
